This autumn, Gränbyskolan will start a new approach with grades 6 and 7 aimed at working with early support measures in the upper secondary school. In this effort, we are looking for a special education teacher with broad qualifications and skills who can support students in both Swedish/Swedish as a second language and mathematics. The school has engaged and competent staff, well-functioning premises with well-equipped special classrooms, and a new, beautiful schoolyard.

The school also has a complete student health team. At Gränbyskolan, we collaborate with the Allaktivitetshuset and the youth center to ensure our students have a developing school time and leisure. Gränbyskolan is also an accredited Erasmus school, providing good opportunities for international exchanges for both students and teachers.

Your Mission

As a special education teacher, you will primarily work with students in grades 6 and 7. The work may involve support in smaller groups, but a significant focus will also be on finding new methods in the classroom together with the teaching staff.

This position is newly established and will involve developing new methods while the operation is ongoing. The work also includes pedagogical assessments and documentation of our efforts.

Your Background

We are looking for a licensed special education teacher with the ability to support students in Swedish/Swedish as a second language/mathematics. Experience with pedagogical investigations and documentation is considered an asset. We would also like you to have experience in method development in groups with others. We view positively if you also have experience teaching the 6-7 student group and experience with language development approaches and reading in all subjects.

As a person, you are flexible and can see opportunities in changes. You have the ability to maintain a holistic view and see issues in a broader perspective. The job suits you if you find it easy to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. Additionally, you are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work.
